This is just conjecture without evidence though so here goes.īlood Ravens are canon, they are mentioned (or at least referenced) in at least 2 BL books (I've only personally read one myself but heard there are others) as well as White Dwarf. I haven't played Retribution so can't speak for it. Chaos Rising is also fine, people complain that Eliphas changed from the Word Bearers to Black Legion but that shit happens all the time. Soulstorm can go suck a dick, as can the Goto books.ĭoW 2 was fine if I remember correctly, the Eldar motivation for things was a bit iffy but I don't care enough about the Eldar to look into whether it makes sense.
I would consider DoW 1, Winter Assault and Dark Crusade to be fine. Lore wise, well now we get into the nitty gritty. Gameplay wise, it is considered as canon as the tabletop (i.e not at all for obvious reasons). You are going to have to be a little more specific. Welcome to the fun world of "How canon is this?"!
